Footage Dump: Zach Funk

Sorry for the hiatus there. I went home for Spring break and skated just about every day, but never filmed. Anyway, here's this clip so that's cool. Additional filming by Justin Funk.

Arto Bonus?

I have nothing else to post, so I'll just post this along with the story behind it. For whatever reason, I made this video a little while back with the intention to mess with people. Few people know its origin.

My partner in deception and focus of the top photograph, Dan Hauenstein, had a wonderful idea one day. It was a few days before the Mind Field premiere, and we decided that I should burn a few copies of this DVD to leave on the ground. Once the DVD enters your player, it loops forever. You cannot pause, ffwd, rew, or stop. The only way to stop it is to eject.

So we went to the premiere with 2 copies. On one we wrote "Muska Sex Tape" and on the other we wrote "Arto Bonus Footage."

I laughed so hard the next day when someone posted it on Youtube.

Here's the gun, skater...

...Blow 'em away!

I love how the skater pushes mongo.

Next time a cop yells at you for skating in the street (like last night) just say, "Sorry officer, I was on a power trip."

Yesterday was my 9th anniversary with skateboarding...

Yeah so I've been at it for 9 years. That's rad.

Anyways today I spent so much time on Google maps looking at hills to bomb and the like - its seriously so fun. You can go anywhere and put your camera view wherever the hell you want. It can also make you think again about how gnarly a trick really is.

For example, this is the ledge Zach Funk nosegrinds in Bolts and Buttah, which can be seen here at 0:30.

You can move around by clicking the arrows and look around by clicking/dragging. I think the spot looks way gnarlier in the google maps view hahaha.

By the way, I got Justin's blessing to post Austin Kanfoush's part from Bolts and Buttah on my youtube. Its currently the featured video on Skate Perception too!
